Most GM small displacement single cylinder gasoline engines are started by manually pull. Under normal circumstances, manually pull starting is relatively smooth. However, sometimes the users may encounter the situation that the disk is hard to pull or the Robin engine itself bounces. What is the reason for this and how to solve it when encountered?
When you ROBIN engine start rebound, usually related to the starting method, ROBIN Engine's valve clearance, timing system, cam decompression valve and other aspects.
The start-up method of pulling the disk of ROBIN ENGINE with brute force to crackle is wrong. The correct method of pulling the disk is "Slowly lift it until you feel the force against you - Pause - Continue pulling faster"
Brand new Robin Engine--EK20/30/40
Specially designed for Agricultural Machinery
Create less pollution
Easy to operate
Low noise
Anti-rust and anti-corrosion
Excellent stability.
After using ROBIN Engine for a long period of time, or didn't adjust the valve after maintainence, the ROBIN Engine's valve lash will gradually become larger because of mechanical wear, valve locking screws loosening caused by the valve opening and closing degree change, will cause the backfire.
When the clearance is too large it will cause exhaust delay, resulting it accidently hit the user's hand while rebounding at startup.
Once valve lash problem is found, it should be adjusted in time to eliminate the problem.
Brand New Robin Engine--EK17
Specialized for Agricultural and Construction machinery
Easy to start
Light and compact
Low noise
Low pollution
Superior performance
You can remove Robin Engine's windshield, check the magneto (high-voltage package), check whether the fastening screws are loose, and whether the gap with the Robin Engine flywheel is appropriate.
In addition, you also need to check whether the flywheel key is sheared to cause changes in the ignition advance angle, which can lead to the situation of the puller bouncing and hitting the hand when the Robin engine is started.
Designed for impact tamper
Light weight
Easy to install
Low noise
Better starting performance
Higher safety
If the Robin Engine pressure reducing valve can not release the pressure in the Robin Engine combustion chamber in time during startup, the same situation of startup puller bouncing and hitting the user's hand will happen again.
There are two main reasons why the decompression valve fails:
Resulting in the crankcase deposits of degraded oil sticking to the pressure reducing valve, so that the camshaft above the pressure reducing valve go fail and stuck.
If the camshaft is the problem, you can repair or replace it as appropriate, but don't forget to re-adjust the valve lash after replacing the camshaft.
